As a Consultant / Technology Consultant at Battery Advisors, you will be guiding clients through the latest advancements in battery technology, optimizing their processes, and expanding their business and manufacturing capabilities. You will be engaged in

As a Senior Consultant / Technology Consultant at Battery Advisors, you will be a trusted advisor to leading manufacturers, OEMs, and investors navigating the complexities of battery technology and industrial scale-up. You will work on high-impact projects across the lithium-ion battery value chain from cell chemistry to gigafactory ramp-ups, combining hands-on problem-solving with strategic advisory insights. This role offers direct exposure to senior client stakeholders, responsibility from day one, and the opportunity to shape the future of energy transition in India.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology & Innovation Advisory: Advise clients on technology strategy, roadmap development, and adoption of innovations in battery cell chemistry, pack design, and manufacturing process technology.
- Manufacturing Process Optimization: Conduct on-site manufacturing assessments and process diagnostics. Identify bottlenecks and implement efficiency, quality, and yield improvement measures.
- Capacity Ramp & Scale-Up: Support clients in scaling production, from pilot lines to gigafactory levels, by advising on automation, equipment selection, facility layout, and ramp management.
- Business & Commercial Analysis: Perform market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and business case development; translate technical findings into strategic recommendations for executive audiences.
- Technology-Business Integration: Act as the interface between engineering teams and business leadership, ensuring that technical insights drive actionable commercial outcomes.
- Project Delivery & Client Management: Lead or contribute to structured workstreams, manage client communications, and deliver high-quality presentations and reports under tight timelines.
Your Ideal Profile:
- 5–7 years of experience in complex manufacturing environments, ideally in lithium-ion battery production
- Proven track record in process improvement, production scale-up, and operational excellence initiatives
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as electrode coating, cell assembly, formation, and module/pack assembly preferable
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or equivalent operational excellence frameworks
- Ability to interpret technical data, manufacturing KPIs, and engineering documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with structured thinking
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently in fast-paced project environments
- Willingness to travel regularly to client locations and manufacturing facilities
